August 1st 2002 (Thursday)
What a long wait it has been. I've had the wrestlers all preparing for our first television show to be aired. The network starts it new season of shows this august and on the third of august will be the taping and airing of KCWs first show, Saturday Night Choas. Everyone seems to be excited. I know I am a little bit excited and mostly scared, this is a big jump from indy wrestler to wrestling promoter, especially when the show is the first show of the company. We have posted the card to various internet sites in hopes to draw interest to our show. Unfortunately it looks as if no one really cares about KCW.
I spent some time today searching the internet to see if I could find any hype about KCW, although I didnt find anything about KCW, I did find something about two of the wrestlers I signed. Heres what I found.
WrestlingObserver.com (Scott KeithPostbag) Q. Who is the most talented worker out there who, for whatever reason, isn't over? A. Steve Jobberone would probably be the answer to that one.
WrestlingObserver.com (Ed T. CactusEd Start) Everyone has to start somewhere. At one point, even Steve Austin, The Rock and Hulk Hogan were nobodies, guys who nobody had ever heard of. They dragged themselves from the bottom of the barrel and wound up on top of the entire world of wrestling. So, whos next? Who is currently where they were, right at the bottom, and looks poised to rise to the top? If I was a betting man, my money would be on Symbol (KCW). The skills, while in need of honing, are there. Who knows what he can achieve-all that he needs is the right gimmick, a few memorable angles, some interview time, and thats it-we could be looking at the next world champion. Hadnt heard of him before now? Neither had anyone else. But chances are, you could be hearing a lot more of him in the future.
After my search on the web, I had decided that I needed to create KCWs very own website. Seeing how I dont have any webmaster skills myself I had to search far and wide for someone with the skills to create websites. I found a guy who agreed to create the website for us, his name is Adam Ryland. He agreed to do it for free as long as he was allowed to post his comments about KCW on the site. I couldnt turn down an offer like that, so we reached an agreement.
August 2nd 2002 (Friday)
Today I decided to call a meeting between my staff members to see where we stand as far as public image and top draws in out company.
As everyone began to show up in my living room, Sophie, my fathers secretary showed up. She explained to me that my father decided to hire her on as a wrestling consultant. I know for a fact that she has some skills as a business consultant, I doubt that she really knows anything about being a wrestling consultant though.
Anyway I was able to get the following information from my staff:
The wrestling industry is a 51% of its peak and that the market is heading toward a boom period. Good news I guess.
#1 babyface King Nate #2 babyface Candi #3 babyface The Ultimate Dude #4 babyface Alpha & Omega #5 babyface Jack Walemba #1 heel Symbol #2 heel Chris Boss Roberts #3 heel Mad Irish Hadder #4 heel Seven Deadly Sins #5 heel Prince Shane
And I found out that King Nate is our top draw. That really sucks since I had planned on staying out of the spotlight for KCW.
Anita tells me that we need second medical person.
Size: Small Public Image: 25% Risk Level: 100% Production Values: 50% Advertising: 20% Merchandising: 0%
Tom Olsen informed me that august 2003 will be the time for our King Nate Wrestling Academy graduation will occur.
Kickapoo is #20 in Promotional ratings, my plan is to be in the top ten by January.
Later that day, Adam called me and informed me that he was finished with the KCW website and to tell him what I thought. I took the time to check it out before heading to bed and I couldnt believe my eyes. It was awesome. Adam even posted his first comments about the show.
It's good to report that we have no injuries right now.
I have been really pleased with Syco, i think it's only a matter of time before he breaks out of the midcard pack and becomes a real player.
We certainly have high hopes for King Nate's Wrestling Academy. The group consisting of Alpha & Omega, Jack Walemba, T Money, The Crippler and Death Psycho Jones look to be really special, can't wait for them to show up on the full roster.
Filler Text! Filler Text! Filler Text! My gawd, Ryland used the Filler Text! Damn them all to hell!
Frank Shamrock has been rumoured on other sites to be in negotiations with us. I will say that as far as i'm concerned, although we are of course keeping an open-mind, we have had no meetings with this talented performer.
Loaded with potential, Steve Jobberone is one person we really have high hopes for. The talent is certainly there, it's just a matter of gaining experience.
Until next time, take care... Adam Ryland
August 3rd 2002 (Saturday)
What a hectic day this has been. I had posted tonight card various websites around the web, fliers had been handed out, and posters had been posted. The card had already been announced to the world and already things are beginning to fall apart.
I told the talent who was facing who and how the matches would go and the winners. You see the first card is nothing but matches for the tournament to determine the first KCW Wrestling Champion and I have plans on making Symbol the first KCW Champion. Thats where the problem comes into play.
Candi vs Symbol has to be the most headache match in existence. Symbol needs to win the match to advance in the tournament but Candi, still using her blackmail over me, wants me to put her over Symbol and Symbol refuses to lose to a girl. Hes afraid it will hurt his reputation. I dont know what to do!
Thankfully the high school we are wrestling in didnt give us any problems when they found out that we plan on being a pretty risky promotion. That might change after we have our first match.
Despite what my father wanted I hired Matty Dahl for a medical position to a $5000 verbal two year contract. The only verbal contract in KCW, hopefully my father never finds out.
SATURDAY NIGHT CHAOS
Our first show, Saturday Night Chaos, went off pretty good. We sold 38 tickets. We used some small pyrotechnics to start off and celebrate the first show. The first talent to appear on TV was Marcus Alexander IV. He showed up to introduce himself as the president of KCW and to thank everyone for watching and showing up for the event. Overall Rating 53%
The K-Tron (note its much smaller than a titan-tron) came alive showing Symbol and his manager Sabrina backstage breaking into Marcus Alexanders office and throwing purple paint everywhere. He also found the contracts for all the wrestlers and tossed them into a wheelbarrow that he used to push the buckets of paint around. Overall Rating 49%
Marcus was furious with what he saw on the K-Tron. He warned Symbol about his actions and begun walking backstage when The Mike decided to come out. The Mike gained heat from the crowd by making fun of the town of Woodstock. He then turned his attention to The Ultimate duDe claiming that there is prejudging of who will win the tournament and claimed that his smaller size shouldnt mean that he wont win the tournament. He made the promo sound a lot like The Rocks speeches, he even ended it with, So, from this point on, The Mike, The Grim One, The Peoples Person, officially announces the opening of KCDouble-U! IF YA SMELL-LA-LA-LA-LA WHAT THE MIKE IS BURNIN! Overall Rating 59%
The Ultimate duDe, then came out for his match against The Mike in the first match, in the first round, of the KCW Wrestling tournament. Both The Mike and The Ultimate duDe seem to work really well together. The crowd seemed pretty dead during the match, but I guess thats something you have to expect when pitting two unknown wrestlers together in a match for an unknown wrestling promotion with no storyline behind it. Some spots in the match include the multiple clotheslines from The Ultimate duDe on The Mike. During one spot the duDe was tossed into the corner and The Mike attempted a thrust kick on the duDe, but duDe caught The Mikes foot and hurled him over the top rope which caused The Mike to crash into the barrier outside the ring. The finish saw The Mike hitting the One Winged Angel on The Ultimate duDe but then put his feet on the ropes for additional leverage during the three count pin. The Mike advanced in the tournament. Overall Rating 41% Crowd Reaction 17% Match Quality 65%
After the match the K-Tron came alive to show Syco working out backstage. Tyson King, KCW interviewer, interrupted the workout to interview Syco. As the interview was about to start, Shawn Harrell KCW referee, just happen to walk by and told Syco that he better wrestle fair in his match tonight. This ticked Syco off and he began to trade insults with Shawn Harrell. Overall Rating 20%
Some KCW staff members rolled out a red carpet to allow Chris Boss Roberts to come ringside. Chris entered the ring after he had someone spray the ring down with some cologne or something like cologne. Chris spent the whole time talking about how rich he is and how much better he was then the fans. Overall Rating 32%
Syco then came down to the ring for his match against Chris Boss Roberts for the second, first round match in the tournament. The match was just as good as the Mike/duDe match but the crowd was even quieter during this match. Notable spots include Sycos entrance when he carried a barbwire covered baseball bat to the ring and refused to hand it over to the referee, until Chris Roberts was able to attack Syco from behind causing Syco to drop the bat and for the early advantage. The match was back and forth with Syco using his brawling ability and Chris using his technical skills. The finish saw Chris Boss Roberts roll Syco up in a small package and the referee, Shawn Harrell, doing a FAST three count, screwing Syco. Syco quickly got up, realized what happened and gave Shawn Harrell the Syco Splat (Powerbomb into a DDT). Chris Boss Roberts advances in the tournament. Overall Rating 37% Crowd Reaction 11% Match Quality 64%
The Mike was shown backstage giving an interview on how it didnt matter if he won or lost the match and that he will prove that he is great even if he is being held back, like other great wrestlers of the past. He gave some examples that included Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, and Owen Hart. The crowd was split on his interview, probably because he is a tweener who compared himself to some of the businesses greatest performers. Overall Rating 55%
Xtreme took on the giant known as Ghost. This match was unbelievably brutal as Ghost pretty much left Xtreme in a pool of blood. The two wrestlers put on the match of the night though even if the crowd wasnt into it. Some spots include Ghost giving Xtreme a chokeslam from inside the ring and lifting him over the top rope and finishing the move with Xtreme landing outside the ring. The finish of the match happened when The Ultimate duDe saw enough of Ghost beating Xtreme into a pulp. The duDe ran down to the ring to attack Ghost but accidentally struck Xtreme, he then attacked Ghost anyway causing the referee to declare the match a no contest and neither wrestler will advance in the tournament. Overall Rating 47% Crowd Reaction 12% Match Quality 82%
The last match of the night and of the first round tournament happened right after with Symbol taking on Candi. Candis moves were poorly executed the entire match while Symbol seemed to be sluggish in the ring during the match. The match was very short and no spots worth mentioning happened during the match. The finish saw Symbols manager, Sabrina, hopping on the ring apron to distract the referee while tossing a purple spray paint can to Symbol. Symbol sprayed the paint into the eyes of Candi. While Candi was blinded, Symbol grabbed Candis shirt and pulled it off, exposing her breast where he proceeded to give her a duel nipple twist. The referee turned to see this and immediately called for the bell disqualifying Symbol. Symbol continued his assault on Candi. Overall Rating 27% Crowd Reaction 13% Match Quality 42%
Marcus Alexander IV suddenly made an appearance lashing out at Symbols actions. Marcus said that Symbol ignored his earlier warning and will make an example out of Symbol by suspending Symbol. The crowd popped loud for this. Overall Rating 60%

THE DAY AFTER
Shawn Kearns, my head road agent called me this morning to tell me how much the boys backstage really got into The Mikes and The Ultimate duDes match. Everyone thought that they worked very well together. I cant say that I disagree either. Their match was very good, but I found the Xtreme and Ghost match to be the match of the night. He then proceeded to tell me how much I was over pushing just about everyone on the show. Thats when we got into an argument. The thing is, my father has a certain idea that he wants for his wrestling show but isnt giving me complete power over everything to put that show into effect. Shawn doesnt seem to understand this, but he finally gave in. After all I am his boss. I do give him credit for standing up in what he believes though.
Later this same day Sophi called to inform me about the ratings. I was excited, I had dreams of 5.0s, but reality makes me think that we will receive around 0.5s. Needless to say I was very disappointed in the 0.04 that we did receive. Thats fine though, its good to start at the bottom and work our way up. It makes succeeding so much more rewarding. In addition to the ratings Sophi said the network didnt approve of the risky nature of the show. Im thinking they didnt like the fact that Symbol pulled off Candis top. So from this moment on, no more topless women on the show.
Checking my email, I receive one from Anthony Loane, the wrestler who portrays Symbol in KCW. It was a pretty long email about how much he feels he is being misused. I wish I could tell him that I didnt want to make him lose to a girl, but Candi was blackmailing me. I sent him a reply email with one sentence that read, Sorry, Ill make it up to you soon.
During lunch one of the writers from the writing team, Gez, showed up to discuss future storylines. Im not sure why everyone didnt show up, but thats ok since is was an unofficial meeting anyway. Gez gave me the charts to show me the top babyfaces and heels after the show.
#1 babyface King Nate #2 babyface Marcus Alexander IV #3 babyface The Ultimate Dude #4 babyface Candi #5 babyface Alpha & Omega #1 heel Chris Boss Roberts #2 heel Symbol #3 heel Mad Irish Hadder #4 heel Seven Deadly Sins #5 heel Prince Shane
With The Mike being our top draw. We talked a little bit about how we were going to get the fans interested in the KCW Wrestling Title match at our upcoming Supershow, Majestic August. Gez came up with some great ideas that has gotten me all excited for next weeks show. Hell he has came up with an idea that I think will make Symbol turn his frown upside down.
August 5th 2002 (Monday)
I was searching the web today to see if anyone is talking about KCW and surprisingly WrestlingObserver had not only mentioned KCW but seemed to have focused their entire website to KCW for that day. Some of the articles included:
WrestlingObserver.com (Dan DaLay DaLay of the Land) In this column Im going to be taking a look at KCW (Kickapoo Championship Wrestling). Currently trading at a small level, and run by Mr. Martindale, they are said to be financially healthy. Currently they are charging $20 for what is described as a extremely risky type of show. Two of the most key assets are Symbol, who is the most talented performer on the roster, and The Mike, their most bankable star in terms of drawing power. In total, KCW have 31 workers on their roster, 11 staff members, and 1 TV show. They are the number 19 promotion in North America.
WrestlingObserver.com (Scott Keith---Postbag) Q: Of active wrestlers, is there anyone who could have matched up to Dynamite Kid? A: I doubt anyone will ever be as good as Dynamite was, although he paid a heavy price for it. The closest modern-day worker to get near to Dynamites quality would be King Nate, I think.
WrestlingObserver.com (Jerry Bear---The Bear Truth) List the top 5 brawlers and all five come from KCW
#1 Symbol #2 Steve Jobberone #3 Joe Killah McNuts #4 Death Psycho Jones #5 Ghost
This made me all excited. The top five brawlers in all of wrestling are in KCW. Of course only two of them are on the active roster, but this did give me an idea on bringing in a new championship title. The HaRDcOrE title. I think we would be able to bank off this, but first we must put some focus on our tag team title first. You cant have a wrestling show without a tag team title.
Another thing that excited me was, me. I was compared to one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, the Dynamite Kid! Ive never been so complemented in my entire life.
Adam posted the following on KCWs official website. I feel he might have given away too much information about future storylines with this post, I think Ill have to talk to him about that.
KCW Web: KCW rises in popularity this month ... Saturday Night Chaos gets great 0.04 rating ... Xtreme and The Ultimate duDe to feud? ... Shawn Harrell looking to fight nemesis Syco at next show? ... Symbol unhappy in KCW, matches becoming worse ... Candi getting heat backstage due to attitude ... Talented Steve Jobberone impressing everyone backstage with quality of matches ...
August 7th 2002 (Wednesday)
Today was interesting, I found out that Randy Ortons father, Cowboy Bob Orton had taken over control of CZW. Thats good, I hope he can turn things around for that show. I cant watch it with the fifteen minutes of introducing the logo, the lack of storylines, and nothing but hardcore spots shown without a whole match ever being shown on TV. The show sucks, and hopefully Bobby can make it better.
With the talk I had with Gez the other day, I decided to bring Jack Walemba up from King Nates Wrestling Academy to help fill out the roster while proceeding with the future storyline.
August 10th 2002 (Saturday)
I had sent out the matches, storylines, and outcomes to the wrestlers this morning, I didnt really want to send it out this late, but it totally skipped my mind with trying to get everything else on track. Shortly after sending it out via email, Candi called, pissed that I am having her lose the match tonight. She doesnt want to lose, but I tried to explain to her that I cant have her winning every match, she has to lose some now and then. She agreed to lose the match, but only if I let her get her heat back after the match. Again, I couldnt let her do that. She threaten to tell the world my deep dark little secret if I didnt do things her way. After discussing everything, we came to an agreement, she has a plan for a future storyline that I didnt like at all, but if I let her use this storyline then she will agree to lose and not tell anybody about the skeletons in my closet.
Before we hung up, she told me to check out 1wrestling.com to read the article about The Mike, so I did.
1wrestling.com rumor: Alicia and The Mike a couple!?!?!? It has been confirmed in an official 1wrestling.com exclusive that wrestling star Alicia has been secretly dating co-worker The Mike for some months. They had tried to keep this secret, but 1wrestling.com was tipped off by an insider. More news on this story as we get it.
This is an outrage, everyone in KCW knows that The Mike and Tabatha are a couple, who would try to ruing The Mikes reputation with this rumor? Who would want to break the couple up? And who was the insider that gave 1wrestling.com their information? Candi was the first person that jumped to mind since she told me about it, plus she is facing The Mike tonight, and she is blackhearted enough to blackmail me, why not try to mess up The Mikes relationship with Tabatha?
SATURDAY NIGHT CHAOS
Tournament Turmoil
Saturday Night Chaos began with 34 audience members in the warehouse facing the ring. The commentators were Corwin Page and King Nate. Marcus Alexander IV made his way to the ring and announced that Mr. Martindale thought that it would be unfair to allow Chris Boss Roberts to receive a BYE in the KCW Wrestling Championship Tournament. So Mr. Martindale wanted another match and picked two new comers to wrestle in the tournament. The new comers are, Jack Walemba and Freakusmaximus. The winner of the match will wrestle against Chris Roberts later that night and the winner of that match will advance in the tournament. Overall Rating 53%
Syco is then shown jogging backstage preparing for his match when Shawn Harrell walks around the corner. Surprisingly Syco and Shawn appear to get along then shake hands. Syco told Shawn that it worked like a charm. As Shawn walks away, backstage announcer, Tyson King, walks up and begins an interview wondering why Syco and Shawn seemed to be getting along. Syco acts like he doesnt know what Tyson is talking about. Shawn Harrell appears again and this time Syco and Shawn begin shouting insults at each other. Overall Rating 7%
Freakusmaximus vs Jack Walemba. Freakusmaximus came out first. He was wearing a tight body suit with gloves and a screened mask. The outfit is black with purple. The match was above average even though Freakusmaximus appeared to be a bit sluggish or maybe just green in the ring. The audience didnt seemed all that interested in the match. Some spots in the match included Freakusmaximus using what appeared to be some basic martial arts against Jack. Jack also appeared to disregard a lot of the minor rules during the match such as closed fist, five count rules, and such. The finish saw Freakusmaximus removing a turnbuckle cover behind the referees back. Jack ended up irish whipping Freakusmaximus into the exposed turnbuckle and knocking him out. Jack easily pined Freakusmaximus for the three count. A second referee came out and convinced the original referee that Jack knew (which it appeared that he didnt) that the turnbuckle cover was removed and cheated to get the win. The referee reversed the decision and awarded the match to Freakusmaximus. Overall Rating 39% Crowd Reaction 12% Match Quality 66%
After the match Sabrina, Symbols valet, appeared from the audience and grabbed a microphone. She began telling Freakusmaximus that he needs to leave KCW because there is only one FREAK in KCW and hes Symbol. She said she was told to tell Marcus Alexander IV that Symbol is in the building right now. The announcers, the audience, and even Freakusmaximus all began looking around the warehouse for anyone that looked like Symbol. Suddenly Freakusmaximus removed his mask and revealed that Freakusmaximus was really Symbol. Marcus Alexander IV rushed out from backstage and fired Symbol right there on the spot. Symbol appeared to be prepared as Sabrina handed Symbol the contracts that he stole last week. Symbol told Marcus that according to his contract, he cannot be fired by anyone other than the owner of KCW, Mr. Martindale. He told Marcus to call Mr. Martindale to confirm his contract, because Symbol apparently talked to Mr. Martindale hours before the show and he would lift Symbols suspension if he could win this match. The announcers seemed to put over the fact that Symbol not only pulled one over on Marcus, but now he has reentered himself in the tournament by winning the match. Chris Boss Roberts vs Symbol later tonight. Overall Rating 56%
Next up was the Syco and The Ultimate duDe match. The chemistry between these two seemed really good but the audience decided to sleep during this match for some reason. Spots include the usual endless clotheslines from The Ultimate duDe. Syco seemed to get away with low blows with referee Shawn Harrell. The finish happened during a suspicious referee bump. Syco pulled out a steel chair but Xtreme ran down to the ring and saved The Ultimate duDe from Sycos attack by taking the chair away from Syco. Xtreme attempted to use the chair on Syco but missed and took out The Ultimate duDe instead. Syco then attacked Xtreme, pinned duDe and the referee, Shawn Harrell, made the three count giving the match to Syco. After the match, Syco continued to attack Xtreme until the duDe made the save. Overall Rating 41% Crowd Reaction 8% Match Quality 74%
Jack Walemba was shown backstage giving an interview talking about himself. Toward the end of the interview he told everyone to call him Tornado Jackie. After the dead crowd for the last match I dont think anyone really paid attention to Tornado Jackie. Overall Rating 6%
The KCW Wrestling Championship Tournament continued with Symbol taking on Chris Boss Roberts. I cannot begin to tell you that as far as crowd interaction, that this was the worst I have ever seen. Nobody, and I mean nobody even cared about this match. Its a shame too since I think both of these wrestlers are tremendous performers. The crowd was so dead that it seemed like they were wrestling in an empty arena match. The two put on a solid wrestling match though. Some spots included Sabrina tossing the purple spray paint to Symbol but the paint can was knocked out of Symbols hand by Chris before he was able to use it. During a period where Symbol was in control of the match, he took the time to lift his purple dress and moon the dead audience. The finish happened like this. Syco comes down to the ring and the ring announcers remind us that Syco was taken out of the KCW Wrestling Championship Tournament by Chris Boss Roberts and the Syco probably wants revenge. Symbol applies his submission finishing move on Chris called the Balls and Chain. A vice-like grip on his opponents groin. This move is an illegal wrestling move in a normal match and because Symbol refused to release the move he was disqualified. Overall Rating 36% Crowd Reaction 0% Match Quality 72%
After the match Symbol leaves Chris Boss Roberts in the ring for Syco to take care of. Syco instead ask for a microphone and surprisingly complements Chris Roberts on his wrestling skills and ask him if he would be his tag team partner. Chris Roberts had a grin on his face then shook Sycos hand. Overall Rating 25%
Finally, The Mike has gone through to the second round! Thats right, The Mike began another interview from backstage, this time ripping into Candi. Asking how Candi was able to be in the main event twice in a row, asking how she was able to get Symbol disqualified last week, asking how the fans like her and said he knew the answer to all those questions, it was because she sucked! He talked about how the only reason Candi is surviving in KCW is because we live in an image obsessed world, but that hell change that tonight during their match. A pretty good promo. Overall Rating 66%
Candi comes out and seems to ignore the comments made by The Mike. Instead she leans over the top rope and blows King Nate a kiss. Corwin Page makes a comment about her flirting with King Nate. King Nate said he didnt know what Corwin was talking about. Overall Rating 41%
The Mike then came out for his match against Candi and I would have to say Candi can make any match look like crap. Well, the match wasnt exactly crap, but it was not that great of a match. The match was actually pretty short with The Mike focusing mostly on Candis legs. The Match ended cleanly with a figure four leg lock on Candi, as she tapped out. The Mike then grabbed a microphone and said that Symbol can finish her off. Symbol then came out to the ring and began beating the snot, blood, and guts out of Candi. King Nate stood up to save Candi, but Corwin stopped him, saying that King Nate is only a commentator and cannot wrestling in KCW. King Nate reluctantly agreed and said implied that he could probably do something about this next week. Overall Rating 30% Crowd Reaction 21% Match Quality 40%
Overall Rating for Show 35%
August 11th 2002 (Sunday)
The Mike came up to me last night after the show. He was pretty polite with what he said to me, but it came down to him not wanting to work against Candi anymore. He did offer a suggestion of working with Xtreme as I guess he sees something in Xtreme that he thinks will make them both look good. Unfortunately that wont be happening, but Ill see what I can do.
After he left I started thinking on how I would be able to test the chemistry between The Mike and Xtreme to see if things could work. This morning I think I figured a way to do it.
I met Sophi this afternoon for lunch and we went over the ratings and ticket sales. Our ratings came in at 0.04. No change since last week and attendance was thirty-four people bringing in $510 in ticket sales. We agreed that we need a sure fire feud started to attract people. The KCW Wrestling Championship title must be the center of the feud to show its importance. So we have The Mike and Chris Boss Roberts right now, but are they really good for each other in a feud? Well test the feud out as we build for our supercard, Majestic August. If things fail then well go with something else.
I was also informed that the network still didnt like the risk level of our show. I think this time it had something to do with Symbol mooning the audience. So from now on, no more male butts on TV.
Sophi wanted to know who I was planning on giving the title to at Majestic August. On one hand, The Mike seems to have the fans eating out of his hands during his promos even though he is a tweener. The problem with The Mike is, he really doesnt have the body that I would want to show to the public as the KCW champion. Its funny in a way since the reason I wouldnt want to give the title to The Mike goes along with The Mikes gimmick in KCW. Chris Boss Roberts doesnt have fan support or hatred but he does have a solid gimmick and the look of a champion. Its really a toss up.
Fred Lee also emailed me the top babyfaces and heels this week.
#1 babyface King Nate #2 babyface Marcus Alexander IV #3 babyface The Ultimate Dude #4 babyface Candi #5 babyface Jack Walemba #1 heel Chris Boss Roberts #2 heel Symbol #3 heel Mad Irish Hadder #4 heel Seven Deadly Sins #5 heel Prince Shane
The Mike once again is our top draw another reason I think I should put the title around his waist.
12th August 2002 (Monday)
I had Tom Olsen bring Alpha & Omega, T Money, and The Crippler up from King Nates Wrestling Academy. While he was around I asked him to talk to The Ultimate duDe about the duDes future heel turn and see if he could teach the duDe how to be a heel. Something Im not sure he knows how to do very well.
I called Jack Walemba to inform him on the feud I plan to put him inwith the monster Ghost. He seemed excited to go for it, I like guys whiling to try out new ideas for the company.
17th August 2002 (Saturday)
I was called last night by Symbol. He got word that I was having him and The Mike in a tag match against Candi and a mystery partnerHe was not pleased with this at all. He wanted the match changed, but my hands were tied with the ropes known as blackmail. He accused me of being pussy whipped and that I am only doing things for Candi because I like her. I couldnt tell him how wrong he really was without letting him know that I was being blackmailed. The truth is, I hate Candi, and at times I wish ill things to her, but thats another story.
SATURDAY NIGHT CHAOS
A Return to the Ring
The show started off at the Military Recreation Center in Libertyville, Illinois. The announcers Corwin Page and The Pimp Roger Smithee hyped up the main event saying it was the team known as UnTrusting consisting of The Mike and Symbol taking on Candi and a mystery partner. Although they tried to guess who the mystery partner was going to be, The Pimp wouldnt change his mind and said that King Nate was going to be the mystery partner. Just then King Nate was shown arriving to the Recreation Center via a blue volkswagen rabbit. The announcers speculated that the reason King Nate was here on a night he was given off is because hes Candis mystery partner. Overall Rating 62%
Syco was shown on the K-Tron backstage talking about his match against Alpha & Omega tonight. When asked what he thinks Alpha & Omega might have in store for him, he responded, If its for me, bring it, deal it, get your ass beat with it. You dont know who I am and how I function. Im dangerous. Im so sycotic! and walked away. Overall Rating 9%
The Ultimate duDe came out afterwards and told everyone that the wait for Candis mystery partner is over and that he declared himself the mystery partner. This brought out Marcus Alexander IV to tell the duDe that it was Candis choice and she didnt choose the duDe. Overall Rating 17%
Marcus Alexander IV then continued by announcing the first every KCW HaRDcOrE wrestling match that will take place at Majestic August between Candi and Symbol! Overall Rating 65%
Syco came out for his match against Alpha & Omega. Syco was accompanied to ring by his girl Sycotic and Chris Boss Roberts. Alpha & Omega was brought to the ring by his bodyguard T Money. This was Alpha & Omegas debut match and Ive got to give him credit, he looked pretty good in the ring. The crowd was dead as usual. KCW needs to find a way to get the audience to care for its matches. Spots included Alpha & Omega basically controlling the match with a power move offence but was easily distracted by both Sycotic and Chris Roberts. The finish saw Syco getting Disqualified by ignoring the referees continual warnings about low blows. Just a note, referee Shawn Harrell was not the referee in this match. Alpha & Omega gave Syco a chokeslam after the match for good measure before heading back to the dressing room to prevent Chris Roberts from doing anything to him. Overall Rating 38% Crowd Reaction 11% Match Quality 66%
Chris Boss Roberts stayed in the ring and asked for a microphone. He began tearing into The Mike calling him a Rock wannabe, he then told him that at Majestic August the first KCW Wrestling Champion will be crowned and it will be Chris Roberts! The reason was because Chris Boss Roberts was too rich to lose! Suddenly, to the delight of the crowd, The Mike appeared from the dressing room and told Chris Roberts that Chris is exactly the type of person that the brass would love to see as their KCW Wrestling Champion. Chris is bigger, stronger, and has the look that The Mike doesnt have. The Mike declared that hes going to win the title to spite the brass and everyone should be rooting for the underdog, so whatcha going to do when freakamania runs wild on you! Overall Rating 44%
The Mike left ringside while Chris Boss Roberts was still standing in the ring. Which is good since Chris Roberts match was next. Jack Walemba came down to the ring and the match began almost immediately. I think Chris was taking out his frustrations of what The Mike just said to him out on Jack. Spots included seeing a mostly technical match from Chris Roberts as he seemed to enjoy tying Jack up in moves and causing him pain. Jack did have a good offence himself but was shut down pretty quick by the finish of the match. The finish was Syco smashing a steel chair onto Jacks head knocking him out. Chris Roberts then applied the Boss-Hold, also known as the sharpshooter. The referee raised Jacks arm three times and on the third fall awarded the match to Chris Roberts. The Crippler makes his debut as he came out for his match. While waiting for his opponent Alpha & Omega appeared and said that he has heard through the grapevine that The Crippler has everything one needs to succeed in this business and that he wants to see it for himself, so he issued a challenge for a one on one match against The Crippler at Majestic August. The Crippler accepted and told Alpha & Omega to watch his match tonight. Overall Rating 26%
Just then the lights went out as Ghost makes his spooky entrance. The match between these two was just as great as the match between Chris Roberts and Jack Walemba, which I forgot to mention was one hell of a match. The difference was Ghost destroyed The Crippler. Spots include the debut of The Cripplers unique aerial assaults mixed against the awesome power of Ghost. The finish saw The Crippler doing a moonsault off the top rope onto a standing Ghost, but Ghost caught The Crippler in mid air and drove his head into the match tombstone style. Ghost pinned The Crippler with ease for the three count. After the match Ghost was about to attack The Crippler again but Jack Walemba ran out and made the save by pulling The Crippler out of the ring. UnTrusting (The Mike and Symbol) came out to the ring to await the main event. Candi then appeared to announce her tag team partner. King Nate appeared from backstage and said that he is upholding his contract to be a commentator and not a wrestler and announced Candis mystery partner as Xtreme, King Nates good friend! Overall Rating 33%
Xtreme and Candi wrestled against UnTrusting. Symbol needs to start putting some effort into his matches, he seems like he doesnt want to be in any matches lately. This match seemed kind of rushed and spots seemed to have been missed and as good as the last couple of matches were, this match was below average. Spots include The Mike working on Candis leg, the same as last week. The Mike and Symbol also showed how great of a team they are by cutting the ring in half and working on Candi for the most part. The finish saw Candi making the hot tag and Xtreme coming in and cleaning house on The Mike and Symbol when The Ultimate duDe ran down and attacked Xtreme by giving him the beatdown (F5). The referee called for the bell and disqualified The Mike and Symbol. The Ultimate duDe then raised The Mikes hand and spit on Xtreme. Overall Rating 37% Crowd Reaction 26% Match Quality 48%

The president of the television network called me this morning. He was extremely unhappy. He told me that the only reason that KCW is on TV is because he owed my father a favor from when they fought together in the war. We are the lowest rating show in the networks history and we show no signs of improving. Another week and another 0.04. He expressed that the ratings MUST improve or we will not be having a show.
Symbol showed up and asked me, friend to friend, to give him a release from KCW. He said that his time in KCW have been the worst time spent in any promotion. I told him to give me a month. If I could not make him happy in a month then I will release him. He halfheartedly agreed. A problem for me, besides losing my friendship with Symbol, is that Symbol still has 19 months on his contract.

Today started out with all the boys excited, rumors running wild. It appeared that they all got wind of Candis incident before I did. Everyone was expecting me to suspend her or, more appropriately, fire her. Instead I choose to ignore that Candi didnt appear at the big photo shoot we organized for her. That didnt sit well with the boys and I feel that they might be getting suspicious about Candi and myself. Although they cant say that they really see us hanging out after work, we do have an on-air romance starting, at Candis request and she seems to get away with everything while wining matches that she shouldnt win. If they were to know what Candi is doing to me, then they might be able to understand.
Sophi emailed me the top 5 list today also.

Marcus Alexander IV has taken The Mikes spot as our Top Draw. I wonder how long this will last because The Mike is pretty good at getting fans in seats.

Today I decided to bring Leon Williams up from King Nates Wrestling Academy. I did this because I dont think the Syco and Shawn Harrell feud is going well and I think Syco needs someone new to feud against. Syco did email me to tell me that hes a little upset that I ended his feud off screen, but I couldnt think of any way to end it on screen and make it succeed.
I also talked to The Ultimate duDe about a gimmick change to go with his new heel turn. We agreed on a man-beast type gimmick.
August 24th 2002 (Saturday)
I had scheduled a match between Candi and Alpha & Omega with Symbol doing a run-in in order to push their match at Majestic August and that bitch Candi didnt want to lose the match because of Symbols interference. She wanted someone else to interfere. Just how in the hell am I suppose to have someone else interfere in a match to make Candi lose and still move the Symbol/Candi feud?
SATURDAY NIGHT CHAOS
The show started with a ring set up under the Big Top. The announcers explained why The Mike and The Ultimate duDe were tagging up instead of The Mike and Symbol. Apparently Symbol wanted another match instead against Xtreme and The Ultimate duDe was replaced as The Mikes partner for the main event.
The Ultimate duDe was already in the ring holding a microphone. He explained why he attacked Xtreme last week during the Candi/Xtreme vs The Mike/Symbol match. He said that on the first show he saved Xtreme from being put into the hospital by Ghost, but Xtreme never thanked him, The next week Xtreme attacked The duDe with a steel chair causing him to lose his match against Syco. Then Last week, Xtreme topped it all off by taking The duDes spot as Candis mystery partner and that was the last straw. So duDe attacked Xtreme and said he has plans to make Xtremes life just as complicated as Xtreme has done to the Ultimate duDe. Overall Rating 8%
Candi comes out for her match against Alpha & Omega. The match was really terrible and Im not sure who to blame for it, but if I had to point fingers, Id say it was Candi. The crowd was pretty dead, and the spots where none. The match seemed like the two wrestlers were just going through the motions and not putting any effort into it. The finish saw Symbol, who was sitting at the announcers table during the match, leave the table and attack Candi with a Chair. Alpha & Omega unknowingly took advantage of the attack by rolling Candi up in a small package for the three count. Symbol then entered the ring, after Alpha & Omega headed back to the shower, and attacked Candi while she was laid out. Overall Rating 20% Crowd Reaction 5% Match Quality 41%
Jack Walemba was shown backstage and he gave an interview that had, not only the audience, but also had the announcers confused. I dont think I can even repeat any of what he said since it didnt even make any since to me. Overall Rating 10%
A fan was shown at the concession stand receiving a cold beverage from across the counter when Syco jogged by during his workout. Syco purposely knocked the drink out of the fans hand on dumped it on his shirt as he jogged by. The fan picked up the empty cup and threw it at Syco hitting him in the head with it. Syco turned back around and got into the fans face and the fan attacked Syco. Syco and the fan continued to fight taking it all the way to the ring where Syco eventually escaped from the fan by running threw the crowd. The fan picked up a microphone and introduced himself as Leon Williams and told everybody that nobody messes with Leon Williams because he isnt afraid of anybody. Overall Rating 15%
Suddenly the lights went out and spooky music started to play as Ghost made his way to the ring. Leon Williams was still in the ring as this was happening. Ghost entered the ring and Leon walked right up to Ghost and got into his face. Ghost went to attack Leon but Leon blocked it and started laying into Ghost. Just as Leon had control of Ghost, a referee runs out from the back slides into the ring and calls for the bell, starting a match! Leon surprisingly had control of the match until the referee called for the bell, then Ghost annihilated Leon without mercy. Some spots included Ghost picking Leon up in a overhead press and then tossing Leon over the top rope and into the audience. The finish saw Leon just starting to gain an upper hand as Syco returned and attacked Leon behind the referees back allowing Ghost to give Leon the tombstone piledriver and the three count pin. After Ghost left the ring, Syco entered with intent to attack Leon but Leon instead hit a suplex turn into a neckbreaker type move on Syco then left him laid out in the ring. Overall Rating 45% Crowd Reaction 15% Match Quality 87%
The Mike was then shown backstage talking about how he will destroy Chris Roberts at Majestic August. He said that the KCW Wrestling Title should be determined by a bout of pure wrestling and nothing hardcore and said that the Majestic August match between the two of them will be an Iron Man match! Overall Rating 56%
Marcus Alexander IV was shown backstage watching what happened during the Syco and Ultimate duDe match from last week. Because of what happened last week with Xtreme interfering in the match and Syco also attacking Xtreme, Marcus Alexander IV announces that at Majestic August he will set up a match Xtreme vs The Ultimate duDe vs Syco in an elimination style match. Overall Rating 56%
Chris Boss Roberts came out to the ring holding some papers and began reading from the papers The Mikes high school rap sheet, where The Mike made Ds and Fs. Chris then brought out The Mikes former High School Gym teacher. The Gym teacher explained that The Mike always had doctor excuses to miss Gym because of his bad health. Chris Roberts says this all proves that someone like The Mike shouldnt be KCWs Wrestling Champion and that someone like himself should be. Overall Rating 55%
Symbol comes out for his match against Xtreme and begins talking about how he is going to teach Xtreme a lesson by doing to Xtreme what hes going to do to Candi during their HaRDcOrE match at Majestic August. Overall Rating 49%
Xtreme then comes out for the match and the two go at it, quick like. The match was really good but the crowd didnt seem to care much for it. Some spots included Symbol using a number of different weapons behind the referees back. The referee seemed to get distracted quite often by Symbols valet, Sabrina. The finish happened when Symbol applied the illegal submission move known as the Ball and Chain and the referee disqualified Symbol for not releasing the move. The Ultimate duDe then ran down to the ring and took advantage of Xtremes discomfort by smashing a chair in the back of his head. Overall Rating 37% Crowd Reaction 12% Match Quality 73%
After what seemed like a long commercial break the main event started with The Mike teaming up with The Ultimate duDe taking on the team of The Crippler and Jack Walemba and the team of Syco and Chris Boss Roberts in a triple threat tag match. The match itself was really good considering the type of match it is and some stars seemed to have shined during the match, most notable being The Crippler. The spots during the match were too many to name, but you can pick anything involving The Crippler leaping from the turnbuckles as a great spot. The finish saw Syco battling the duDe outside the ring as Jack Walemba joined in on the fight. The Crippler then leaped over the top rope doing a shooting star press and taking out all three of the wrestler and himself in the process. This left the two legal men still in the ring, The Mike and Chris Boss Roberts. These two went at it for the first time during the match and the first time ever and it didnt last long as The Mike hit his finishing move, The Grave, on Chris Roberts and covered him for a clean three count pin. Frustration, that is what consumed me all day today. I found out that once again we received a television rating of 0.04 again! AGAIN! What must I do to get people to watch our show? The live attendance stays around the mid thirties but I just cant seem to bring in any more.
Last nights show also showed that the Ultimate duDe cannot pull off his new gimmick. He doesnt seem to have the ability to convince the fans that he is a man-beast. I talked to the Ultimate duDe about changing his gimmick and he begged to let me give him some time to see if he can learn to work the gimmick. Speaking of gimmicks, Im not sure if Leon Williams is unable to pull off his gimmick or if he was just nervous last night. Ill also give him some time to play around with his gimmick.

This past week has been busy as I have been getting everything ready for our first Supercard, Majestic August. I received an email today informing me about the new owner for NWA Wildside. Its my very first favorite wrestler. Paul Orndorff. Its awesome, hopefully Paul will be able to make Wildside a much better promotion. Paul should replace the announcers for the show, the current ones overact and arent all that good. Then again, I cant speak since Corwin isnt the greatest announcer either.
The KCW Wrestling Championship Title belt arrived via express mail today and it looks great. Majestic August will be the first time the public and wrestlers get to see the belt. I have to admit, after getting the belt I wore it around myself for most of the day. It reminds me of the time when I first won the RWF World Heavyweight title. Only this time I didnt wear the belt while being naked.
August 31st 2002 (Saturday)
Todays the day, everyone seems excited for our fist Supercard, Majestic August. Candi as usual complained about her match against Symbol, she, as usual, wants to get as much heat against Symbol as she possibly can. I told her that after Majestic August she will receive all the heat she can handle if she just does what I ask her to do tonight. Damn this girl, maybe I should just tell everyone my secret so she doesnt have this power over me. I cant do that though.
Majestic August
Chris Boss Roberts father granted KCW permission to use his Chicago Hotel for the first ever KCW Supercard, Majestic August. The ring set up in the lobby with the audience surrounding the ring and the announcers Corwin Page and The Pimp Roger Smithee sitting at ringside calling the matches. Two K-trons are set up for Majestic August and one of them comes alive with a shot of the Chicago street outside the Roberts Hotel. A black limo with the words The Executioner were shown in white lettering on the side of the limo. The limo driver got out and open the door for Leon Williams. Leon grabs his gym bag and heads into the Roberts Hotel. Overall rating 30%
Alpha & Omega and The Crippler start off Majestic August with their match. The Crippler and Alpha & Omega seemed to have put on a great match but they didnt fire off the crowd like I was hoping they would. Everyone knows that the curtain jerker match should get the crowd fired up and roaring to go for the rest of the night. Unfortunately that didnt happen tonight. Some spots include Alpha & Omega picking up The Crippler for a DVD but The Crippler flipping out of it and landing on his feet. The Crippler also did a move that I dont think has a nameyet. It was some kind of off the top rope-flippy-spiny-body-attack move. The finish saw Alpha & Omegas bodyguard, T Money interfere in the match right after The Crippler hit his finishing move on Alpha & Omega. This prompted the referee to call for the disqualification with in turn ticked off Alpha & Omega and together with T Money they took out their frustration on The Crippler while the crowd looked on in confusion. Symbol is then shown pushing a shopping cart through the hallways of the Roberts Hotel. He kicks in a random door and walks in on an elderly woman getting dress. Symbol strikes the lady and picks up her dress she was about to wear and puts in on himself. He then grabs some furniture and tosses it into a shopping cart. Overall Rating 56%
Ghost comes out for his match against Jack Walemba and the announcer put over the fact that Ghost is technically undefeated, never having a pinfall or submission done to him this whole month, while also talking about how much he has destroyed everyone he has been in the ring with. Jack Walemba comes out with the announcer talking about how Jack doesnt have a chance and is just another lamb being lead to the slaughter. The match started off just like any other Ghost match, with Ghost dominating with brutal power moves. The crowd started chanting Wal-em-ba during the match and it looked like it worked as Jack started to make an impressive comeback on Ghost unlike anything anyone has ever done on Ghost before. Ghost seemed to be taken back by this and pulled the referee in front of him to prevent Jack from hitting a drop kick on him. The referee went down, but not out as the referee called for the bell disqualifying Ghost and awarding the match to Jack Walemba for the finish. Ghost headed backstage thinking the match was over, but Jack wasnt finish as he attacked Ghost and the two of them continued to battle each other all the way to the back stage area and probably beyond. Overall Rating 46% Crowd Reaction 17% Match Quality 75%
Chris Roberts is shown backstage being interview for his match, he stated that tonight he is all about instinct, the Roberts Killer instinct and thats how hell overcome The Mike and win the KCW Wrestling Championship tonight. Overall Rating 38%
Symbol comes to the ring pushing a shopping cart filled with weapons that is assumed hell use in his match with Candi. Candi came to the ring wearing her usual tight and too small clothing. This match sucked terribly. I would have to rate this match as the worst match in KCW history. Symbol was sluggish during the whole match and Candi basically no-sold everything Symbol did to her. The spots during the match was mostly just Symbol hitting Candi with a number of different Hotel apparels and knick-knacks. Which didnt really seem to bother Candi all that much. The finish saw Symbol hit Candi with the Symbol of Greatness through a table and scores the three count. After the referee raises Symbols hand, he decides that hell finish the job and attack Candi with even more weapons, busting Candi open the hard way. Symbol then left, leaving Candi in a pool of her own blood. Overall Rating 24% Crowd Reaction 16% Match Quality 32%
Tabatha then comes out cutting a promo for The Mike. She tells everyone that The Mike is preparing for his match and she puts over the fact that The Mike will overcome all the odds tonight and win the KCW Wrestling Championship. Overall Rating 14%
Xtreme vs The Ultimate duDe vs Syco match was next. Before any of the wrestlers came down to the ring, Leon Williams was shown sitting in the audience watching as a fan. The match between the three of these wrestlers was very good, an impressive showing by all three men. The crowd was their usual selves during the matchquiet. The first elimination of the match occurred when Syco decided to yell at Leon William and knocking his beverage out of his hand. Leon then jumped the barrier and hit Syco with the steel chair he was sitting on. Leon tossed Syco into the ring and The Ultimate duDe seeing no reason to complain pinned Syco. After Syco left ringside the finish of the match happened as Xtreme hit the Gangsta Stretch on a distracted Ultimate duDe. The duDe was watching Syco leave and next thing he knew he was tapping out to the finishing move. Xtreme left the ring and The duDe appeared to be beyond mad. The announcers informed the home audience that this battle is far from over. Overall Rating 43% Crowd Reation 11% Match Quality 76%
Suddenly a loud blast of electric guitar bursts through the Roberts Hotel, followed by a loud, clear voice saying, EL-E-VATION!
A band is then noticed off to the side of the audience and they are blasted out a version of U2s Elevation. The singer then burst through the curtain, clutching a golden microphone. It was The Mike belting out his own entrance theme as he strutted down to the ring. After The Mike finished singing and the audience awaited the hotel owners son to make an appearance, the announcers began talking about how bad of a move that was for The Mike. The Mike needs to save his energy for the grueling hour long Iron Man match. The Mike already has a well documented health problem as it is and isnt very good in long matches. Overall the announcers made it sound as if The Mike already blew his chances at winning tonight by singing tonight. Chris Boss Roberts then made his way to the ring in his usual fashion, red carpet with guys spraying odor removing chemicals on the ring. A shot of Chris Roberts father was shown as he sat ringside for this match only. Marcus Alexander IV then made his way down to the ring carrying the precious KCW Wrestling Championship title belt. Which he handed off to the referee. The referee held it up high to signify that this match is for the KCW Wrestling Championship. The match started off with the two competitors circling each other, sizing each other up. The Mike immediately took a chance move that paid off and scored the first pinfall with a schoolboy in less than 12 seconds into the match. Giving The Mike the early advantage of 1-0. The Mike then went on the defense for the next part of the match keeping Chris Roberts away and only going for pinfall attempts when it looked advantageous to him, but never scoring one. The match went 48 minutes before Chris Roberts was able to score his own schoolboy pinfall on The Mike. This one, however, had Chris using the ropes for additional leverage without the referees knowledge. Tying up the score 1-1. The last minute of the match saw a referee bump, followed by The Mike hitting his finishing move, The Grave, on Chris Roberts. The Mike pinned Chris as the fans chanted 1, 2, 3. The Mike released the pinfall attempt and started to shake the referee in order to awaken him. Suddenly The Mike is smacked in the back of the head by a purple steel chair, knocking him to the mat. On the other end of the chair is Symbol. Symbol tosses Chris Roberts motionless body on top of The Mike and finishes The Mikes attempt at waking the referee. The referee crawled over and slowly makes the three count followed by the buzzer letting everyone know that the time limit has expired giving Chris Roberts the 2-1 victory over The Mike and winning the KCW Wrestling Championship. Symbol picks up the championship belt, enters the ring and hands it the Chris Roberts followed by a handshake between the two men as The Mike lays motionless in the center of the ring.
